Brand-Spankin-New Comics!
The Golden Years
This is a story, about a comic named HAFFN, which had many characters
I didn't just make these up... honest
a rest from my supposed drawings
... There are other people that read this? Holy Crap in a basket!
Wellity wellity wellity, free stuff
A special thanks to random people
Other great comics... no serious, they're good
Hear the voice of God... or failing that, me

Hey, it is the news and you're reading it

Bet you thought I forgot about this thing, didn't you? Well I have good excuses. The no comic week before last was due to excessive computer troubles. I lost the completed comic, can't find the original sketch, and doesn't matter because I wouldn't have been able to upload it. My internet was on the fritz. Last week I was working 8 1/2 hours every day and still no internet connection. I was far too tired to make a comic, and even if I wasn't I wouldn't have been able to upload. This week isn't looking wonderful either, next week will be busy.

So what does all this mean for Hyperactive Fast Food Ninjas? Fear not, I will not give up on it yet. But since so much has happened lately that I am barely getting off one comic a month, I will be reworking my system. That, coupled with all the stuff going on and school starting again soon, HAFFN will be going on break for a while. I am aiming for a grand reopening in September. A grand reopening would include the one comic every day of the work week bit again. In fact, how I am considering reworking my system is to post 5 comics a week, one week ever month. In general you will get more HAFFN and I will spend less time despite there being one more comic. I actually have to look into how practicle that will be, so don't get your hopes up. Also I will be looking into linking this place up with a few search engines. Hopefully by this time next year all this trouble will be a thing of the past, overcome with waves of new readers... or at least I hope. Till then.

Well looks like all is well with the world. Brand Spankin' new comic up for your web-comicing pleasure. And because I have this weird sensation that my doctor told me is "guilt", whatever that is, I decided to put up some bonus stuff (aka, check the bonus section) to help make up for two weeks of no comic. Enjoy.

Yes, I know there is no new comic for the 5th. Chances are there will not be a new one for the 12th either. Real life stuff. And on the off chance that Meg is reading this, I AM SORRY!

Just uploaded Friday's strip. I am sorry for the wait. If you will notice, the special art is no longer there. Don't worry, since it has already been shown once I will move it over to the character section soon, just want to figure out how I want to do that. And please keep in mind, because of scanning trouble I had no hand drawn version to go by so I just used the same frame over and over. It works well enough. I mean, how many different ways can I make something look when people are just standing there talking. Anywho. As a side note, this is one of the comics that I had planned from the very beginning. Joy. Oh, also, having looked over my work on the previous comic, I have come to realize that it will take a lot longer to fix than I had originally thought. It isn't high on my list of things to do, but I'll let you know when it is fixed. Also I deleted old news so hopefully this will load faster.

Bad news people. As you have already noticed, today's "comic" is not really a comic. Shall I list for you the troubles? Well first of all I went, scanned the comic, and waited. Damn that waiting. I waited till that evening to work on it (this was on wednesday). So I went to open the file, doo dee doo, and lo what do I see? The Scanner, for some reason, didn't scan. I just had a blank file that, if I had to guess, was the size of the surface area of the scanner. Now the fact that this was wednesday is important. Today I couldn't go back to campus to rescan because for some reason, the library computer lab (where the scanner is) is not open on thursdays. So I wont be able to get access to a scanner again till wednesday of next week. However the comic isn't that difficult so I am attempting to draw it directly on my computer. I hope to have it finished soon, but since I work for most of friday I wont be able to get it done then. However, I have Saturday off so hopefully the real comic will be done and posted then. As a side note, it will be longer than 4 pannels too.

Which brings us the filler comic. I had a plan in case something like this ever happened. I scanned the concept art for the characters a long time ago and have been working on touching them up every now and then. So what you are seeing is actually the original final concept art for Arcturis. Damn, doesn't he look bad ass? No matter how I try, I can't duplicate that again. So he has taken on a little more of a silly cartoon look. On the bright side, he is no longer a serious character. Which is good, I get the feeling I will be very bad at anything serious.

I updated the bonus section with a new interview. Go take a look and win a cookie.

Well you might have noticed, no bonus comic was posted. I suddenly ran very far behind schedual. I finished this comic 1/2 hour before my "deadline" and as you can tell, I was rushed. I am planning on redoing it soon, to fix the spelling/gammar error and to make the cheif a little more visable.
